Jenna Vaughn, LMHC

I am an integrative therapist and Clinical Traumatologist who helps people heal from trauma, grief, stress, and painful life experiences that may be affecting how they feel about themselves, relate to others, or move through the world. I believe clients are not broken or flawed, but are often having understandable responses to experiences that have felt overwhelming, disappointing, unsafe, or deeply painful.

My work is compassionate, collaborative, and centered around each client’s unique needs. Together, we may explore patterns that feel difficult to change, emotions that feel hard to manage, parts of you that feel stuck or conflicted, or experiences from the past that continue to affect the present. My goal is to create a space where you can feel supported, understood, and empowered as you reconnect with yourself and move toward healing.

As an integrative therapist, I draw from Internal Family Systems, Somatic Therapy, EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Nature Therapy, and Mindfulness Therapy. Depending on your needs, our work may include building skills for emotional regulation, developing a deeper sense of safety in your body, processing traumatic or painful memories, strengthening self-compassion, improving relationships, or reconnecting with grounding practices that help you feel more present and steady.

I have experience supporting clients through a wide range of painful and overwhelming life experiences, including childhood abuse and neglect, combat trauma, grief and loss, relationship trauma, sexual assault, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and major life transitions. Many of the people I work with are seeking to feel safer in their bodies, more connected in their relationships, less controlled by the past, and more grounded in who they are today.

I especially value helping clients approach themselves with more curiosity, gentleness, and clarity. Healing can involve understanding the ways you have learned to protect yourself, listening to what your body and emotions may be communicating, and creating new ways of responding to life that feel more aligned, flexible, and authentic.

I love working as a therapist, and I am deeply grateful for the privilege of hearing clients’ stories and witnessing people grow, heal, reconnect with themselves, and find more joy in life.
